( i cant believe that she is FIVE)
Josh has decided that our family needs a new tradition, introducing: Birthday week! So far we haven't done anything to spoil her that much, just a lot of "Happy Birthday WEEK Brooklyn!" and at this age we get a really big smile for all the extra attention. We will see how many years this tradition lasts? I am sure her husband will be thanking Josh!

Happy Birthday to Brooklyn! I was a little sad when my first turned 5 yrs old. I don't know why it was a hard bday for me - maybe because it's such a big girl age...getting ready for school and everything. I don't know. Anyway, I think Josh should mention that idea to Jake. What girl wouldn't LOVE a whole week of celebrating her birthday? I wouldn't complain!
I should have said, "I wouldn't mind." That's what I meant. :)
my sister does birthday week too, it really is a great way to focus on the little things that make someone feel loved.
