Oh Canada!

Yep!! Canada last summer, wow I am really behind. Here goes another shot at keeping up.

Of course Canada was wonderful... and the pictures are the proof.

Our hike to Bertha Falls. Right after the bridge below we saw a bear close to the trail, lets just say that was the last hike of the trip.

Brady has been enjoying soccer this season.

I was worried he would get nervous with all the people watching and yelling,

and at the second game he did.

The first game was great, but the second was another story.

He cried the whole game, so Josh had him spend the rest of the

afternoon in his room. He didn't like that at all.

So at the next game he was all smiles.

he has had seven games so far and two left.

I am a little sad that they are almost over, He is so cute in his little

uniform. But I know that next season is just a few short months away.

Go Brady!!! We love you!!!

Back to school

Brooklyn is in first grade and loves every day.

I thought maybe the transition to full day would be hard,

But she is still smiling.

Brady's preschool teachers started a pre-k class this year

and he gets to bring his lunch.

He's at school from 8:30 to 12:30.

Cooper really misses Brookie and Brady while they are gone.

Brady was so proud of his his first project.

I think its really cute.

Well i am getting to it now.

We went to california in June, it was a little cold, I guess we

went during "June Gloom" But we still had fun.

Then Cooper turned two and we took him on a train ride.

He absolutely loves trains.

We went to Canada in July and like always had a great time.

I had a birthday in August and turned the big 30,

nothing fancy. Just dinner at home with Josh and the kids and a few family members.

Sweet little HUDSON joined our family yesterday at 11:22 am

He weighed exactly 7 lbs and was 19 inches long.

During Brittany's ultrasound months ago, the tech commented on

how big his feet were. I am sure he will be tall. He is a cutie, and we already

LOVE him to pieces! Congratulations Jordan and Brittany!

He has great lips, so he might be a kisser like his daddy!

Another dance cycle has come and gone, and Brooklyns teacher put together a really cute maypole for all her classes. It was a dress as you please dance party with really cute awards and a sweet butterfly gift. Her teacher always goes above and beyond for her classes.

Brady finally got his bunk bed!! He is so excited, but I think you can tell by the smile on his face. Brooklyn absolutely loves it too. She has claimed the top bed, I think she will hold on to it as long as Brady lets her. It has been a really great week in our house, so far.

Amazing aunt Amy made doggie cupcakes, and the kids loved them and then ate them.

Brady is so excited to be 4, "his muscles are bigger and he is smarter too!"

It is so much fun for Brady sharing a birthday with Paige. Its a cousin bond that they will have forever. It is even more fun watching them grow up together. We went to Pump it up and then had lunch at CPK. All the kids loved Pump it up, even the babies. I wish it wasn't so far away. All of the kids get along so well together, We have a great mix of age and gender.

It was the start of Brooklyn's birthday week and she really wanted to go to Color Me Mine. Josh surprised the kids and got off work a little earlier then normal and we were off. Brady picked a skateboard painted it blue and wrote his name with sharpie. (so cute) and Brooklyn chose a jumping dolphin and of course she was painted PINK! We had so much fun. A week later we picked up our finished art and Brady's skateboard didn't stand a chance against Cooper. :(

This is at the school carnival. We bought tickets to play the games, they only won a prize if they actually won the game. I am still shocked what a rip off. Cheap! I guess its a good lesson on reality.

Brady has waited a long time for his turn to come.

Everyday last year when Brookie would go to school Brady would ask "When do I get to go to school?" To be honest I wasn't sure if I was going to even do preschool this year, but a great opportunity came up and we took it. He has been so excited to start, Brooklyn started two weeks ago and Brady knew his school started when we got home from Lake Powell. This morning went smoothly, he could hardly hold back his shouts for joy, until we pulled up to the house and the teacher came out to greet him. His joy quickly turned into tears and he didn't want to go in. I jumped out and walked him to the door telling him how much fun he will have and how soon I will be back to pick him up, gave him a quick kiss and ran back to the car. Knowing he would be fine as soon as I left.

Just as I suspected he had a great day! He made a darling frog and learned all about the color GREEN. He can't wait to go back. We will see what Thursday morning brings.

The first day of school has come and gone. Brooklyn had a great time and loves getting up every morning for another day. I know her excitement about school will end sooner than I want, so I enjoy every minute of it!

The little guy in front of her did not want to go in, luckily it didn't slow her down. Without hesitation she went in front of him, almost running into the classroom.

This new stage in her sweet little life scares me. I have no control over what she will experience and I hate the thought of that. I know this is just the beginning of a lot of choices she will have to make on her own. I am going to miss her every minute she is away from me. (YES! I was a mess. it was really hard to hold back the tears I am not going to lie.)

In desperate need of a nap schedule

With all of our trips lately and a week of girls camp, Cooper has lost all schedules and has become even more spoiled. (if that's even possible) Honestly, he is nowhere close to giving up his nummies, and when I put him down for a nap he will cry for two hours until I give up and take him out of his crib. I know the key word is "I give up" but I have confessed HE IS SPOILED! One day before our trip to Canada (pictures coming) we experienced all of the above. He fought tooth and nail and won, at 5 pm I put him in his highchair to get dinner started. No more than 5 mins had passed and he was out. I couldn't resist the picture at that point, and that explains the post. SPOILED!!! and LOVED!!!

My sister had her baby July 10th, so short notice we went to Kanab to meet the little guy. Funny story... I didn't take any pictures of him, I still can't believe it myself.

4th of July family reunion

Over the Fourth of July weekend we had a family reunion at my uncle's property in New Harmony. It was fun seeing my cousins and all their kids. My uncle has a really fun zip line that we played on, it took a good part of a day for everyone who wanted to go to get time to do it. Brooklyn was excited to try until it was her turn, then she chickened out! Thats ok, it was a big one, and a ton fun. I will give her a year and then I am strapping her in and sending her down. I know she will have fun!

I can not believe it has been a whole year already!

Cooper is such a cuddle bug, if it was up to him that's

what we would do all day long.

Brooklyn's preschool graduation was so cute. I have mixed emotions about the fact that she is growing up. She loves to learn and I love seeing her self confidence blossom. But I am dying to hold on to her sweet innocence. She was chosen to lead her class in the Pledge of Alligence, and her friend, Emma, played two songs on her little violin. Her daddy brought her pink roses, Brookie loves flowers, it was a great day. Brooklyn will miss her friends and her teachers Ms. Lyn and Ms. Dina, but is very excited about going to big kid school next year. I love this spunky, sassy, full of imagination little girl. Watch out Kindergarten here comes Brookie!

It seems like just yesterday that I brought my sweet little Brady home from the hospital. It has been pure joy to have him in our family. He is so sensitive to everything around him, he always seems to notice the little things. The older he gets the more his personality reminds me of his dads. He will be a very smart, eager to learn, always pleasing, and always teasing kid. I know good things are in store for him, I can't wait to be a part of it. We LOVE you Brady boy!

Princess Crowns

Savy saw a homemade princess crown at rodeo days that she wanted to buy, it was $15. Amy took one look at it and said no!,we will make these when Brooklyn comes. Savannah didn't let her forget, so we bought some pipe cleaners and curling ribbon and made them. I think ours even turned out better than the originals!

Tucson Zoo

We had so much fun in Tucson, one day we were lucky enough to go to the zoo. The kids got to feed the giraffes,

Brady did not want to, of course.

It was fun watching Brady and Paige run around together
they are at a fun age of independence.

We got some fish/ duck food and let the kids throw it in the stinky pond. and then washed our hands in the frog fountain. It is so cute!

I Loved this zoo, and I am pretty sure the kids did too! I cant wait until our next visit so we can go again.

Cooper has been really active the past few weeks, so I set him on Brady's back to see what he would do. They both loved it, after I took him off Brady said "Cooper's turn to carry me"

It was so funny, at first poor little Coop didn't know what to think. It wasn't long before the were both laughing again.

Brooklyn has been into art this month. She is always asking to paint, draw, play with play dough, color, use glitter, have scissors and tape I can keep going, basically anything she can get her little creative fingers on! For Christmas I got this copper fondue pot. On Saturday we had the Jolley's over for the Rebel game (they lost in overtime by 2 again, but we're still loyal fans) and decided to pull it out. The kids had a lot of fun... as you can see.

For Brooklyn's birthday I took her and a little friend to the mall to get a mini makeover! (It is so much fun to have an aunt working at a makeup counter) Brooklyn and Drue looked like princesses in the big girl chair sitting there so grown up. Drue absolutely loved Brittany the min. she set eyes on her. She told me later how pretty she thought she was, and when Brittany saw Brooklyn walking up she ran out and gave her a big hug! Drue said that was her favorite part of the day!

It was drue's birthday too, so after the makeovers we went to build a bear. The girls had so much fun picking out their animals and then stuffing, washing and dressing them.

To top off the day we stopped by the food court and had some pizza! YUMMY! I think Brooklyn had a great day, I am still a little shocked that she is five. I know I will get over that. It helps that she reminds me daily! " Well mom now that i am FIVE, (fill in the blank)."

Josh has decided that our family needs a new tradition, introducing: Birthday week! So far we haven't done anything to spoil her that much, just a lot of "Happy Birthday WEEK Brooklyn!" and at this age we get a really big smile for all the extra attention. We will see how many years this tradition lasts? I am sure her husband will be thanking Josh!

For family night, we bought a rocket and took it the desert by our house to launch it.

Brady was with us when we bought it so he kept calling it his rocket, until he saw the fire come out of it and then of course he was afraid!

Brooklyn insisted on bringing her umbrella so she wouldn't get hit by anything. It was a coincidence that it matched her outfit

Cooper was happy hanging out in the car, for a while. I put him in the big boy seat to try and distract him but it only worked for maybe five mins. So I would say it didn't work at all. I can't believe how big he is! 7 months today!

Brooklyn's school had a field trip to Anderson Dairy today! It was so much fun seeing the big machines and meeting the animals.

The kids all crowded the window to see...

...but not Brady, he waited patiently in the back to have all the room he needed to enjoy it. :)

The animals were really cute, but for some reason b dizzle was very afraid!
(all of the kids were a little scared by the fog and the storm noises near the penguins)

Cooper was happy as usual and we all enjoyed some ice cream at the end of the tour. Thanks Anderson Dairy!!!

We had a great Christmas, Starting with Christmas Eve!
We had yummy treats!
Saw Santa, this time the true Brady came out.

Opened our Christmas Pajamas

And Christmas morning woke up to lots of surprises, some great some not so much!
Brookie got her Pony roller coaster, "Santa loves me!"
Brady got a really fun fire engine that he's not so sure about.
Mommy woke up with the flu, gross i know!
And Daddy woke up to find his car and seven others in the neighborhood got broken into! Lucky us! They stole his sunglasses, and a pair of shoes, and my video camera with the bag, including our tape of Cooper in the hospital, his first bath and who knows what else. The jerks also stole my really fun Flip video, I am mostly sad about the tape of coop, You just cant replace it! :( So the police came and CSI and did a really good job collecting evidence,(they left blood in the car, and fingerprints everywhere, the idiots) Hopefully they are in the system! The girls had fun taking the officers a little treat, it probably isn't the most fun working on Christmas! I hope all your Christmas's were as good as mine!

It's that time again!
Cooper had his SIX month check up, I can't believe he is already that big, time flies! This tiny sumo is 19.6 lbs and 27 inches long. He stayed in the same percentile as he was at 4 months for weight, 80th. But for height he has slowed down a little he only grew 2 inches so it moves him to the 40th. He is sitting up like a pro and he loves to babble and blow raspberry's. He is a very cuddly and such a sweet little guy to be around. We are so blessed to have him in our family!

We saw Santa this week and surprisingly my kids didn't throw a fit! They all loved him, and so did I, he was so nice! If you haven't seen Santa yet, go and see him at the Fashion Show mall. While you are there stop in and see Brittany at Nordy's and buy some great presents!

The other day Brooklyn asked me if she could have a sucker, so I said yes and get one for you brother. A few mins later Brady comes up the stairs with a very BIG bar of chocolate! I asked where did that come from? and Brookie said in the cupboard. and what happened to a sucker? He wanted this! I guess if you had the choice you'd pick chocolate over a dum dum, right? After a few pictures I went downstairs to see exactly what it was, turns out it was Dark Chocolate! I guess it was healthier, but Gross! So after a few more bites I threw it away. It had been up in the cupboard a really long time anyway! fyi- I like dark chocolate but what two year old does? i guess chocolate is chocolate take what you can get!

by looking at them, you can see that it was time to change the covers on my chairs! (I really want a new table but this one works so why spend the money right now.) The new ones are a little festive but cute and it was easy (time consuming) but easy! So maybe I'll change them again this summer. I couldn't have juggled my kids and the project with out Kris, Thank you so much you're the best!!!

Back in November my sister moved into a new house so we went up to help. It was only a few blocks from her old house so instead of taking the trampoline apart we laid it across the truck. It was so big and light, we had to drive really slow and I held onto it out the passenger window, it probably looked really funny because we got a lot of stares. It was definantly worth saving the hour or more of taking it down and putting it back together!

The boys had fun playing paintball, and the kids were so excited for their cousins new house! The new house is quite a change from the old, for example the old house was maybe 1000 square feet and the new is close to 3300! We are so happy that they bought a house! GOOD LUCK! We can't wait to come back and visit!

We are so blessed to have such a great family. Brittany is so sweet, out of the blue she offered to come up and watch the kids so Josh and I could go out. On a Friday night? What a sweetheart. We love you aunt Britty! Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!

I know they had a fun time! They made cookies and traced their hands to make "I am thankful for turkeys" they were so cute, and the cookies were so good! Brooklyn and Brady love You!

We went to the Shark Reef on Friday morning. Kids got in free if they were wearing costumes, turns out kids 4 and under are free anyway! Oh well it was fun, they handed out candy and Brookie had been asking for a while if we could go. Everyone loved Brady's costume because of the whole shark thing. People actually asked me if I made it, that's funny! Enjoy!

Mini Makeover

Brooklyn was so excited to get a mini makeover on saturday. Brittany is working at the Bare Minerals counter, and they had a huge event. It was so much fun seeing Brittany in her element, she is really good at what she does. Brooklyn loved every second of it. Thanks Britt, We love you!

MOVING ALREADY

I was home doing laundry and working on my lesson today, so I thought it would be a good day to let Brady run around in his big boy pants and let Cooper have some time on the floor with his toys. I was in and out of my room, changing loads, and a few times I came in Cooper was on his tummy. I knew my kids didn't flip him because they were always in the other room, so I would put him on his back to see if he would roll for me. He didn't, a few minutes later Brooklyn comes running to me "Mommy Cooper just rolled over" So Brookie saw him do it first. I then sat there with the flip knowing he was bound to do it again and he did. (don't look at the storage boxes in my room, I am in the process of getting rid of Brooklyn's old clothes)

I am 4 months old already!

True that.....I went to the doctor today and the nurses couldn't control themselves, they were all over those cheeks of mine. What can say, I don't blame em. The nurses were cool until one of them poked me four times, whoa what was that for. So the doc told mommy that I was in the 80th percentile for weight. I weigh 16 lbs and 6 ozs! and I am in the 50th for height, measuring 25 inches. He also said something about starting solid foods but I don't think mommy is in a hurry, maybe in a couple weeks. Lets just say I take up enough time eating.... I really like milk! So on to my awesome accomplishments lately.. I can reach and grab the cool toys that hang above me and I love to sit in the exersaucer and hear all the great music. I have even figured out how to get my thumb in my mouth and occasionally suck it until I fall asleep. Speaking of sleep I have been pretty nice to mommy and I sleep in my own room all through the night. We'll see how long that lasts. I am not bragging but I think I am pretty cool! I am very mellow, and fun to be around so call me and we can hang out in my crib sometime. PEACE- SupaCoop

On October 4th, 1982 I was lucky enough to get a little sister. Growing up we had so much fun together. My sister is so important to me, I wanted to let her know how much I love and miss her!

Three Months

WOW, three months already. He really needs to stop getting older! Cooper is such a happy baby, and so lovable! It is hard to put him down because he is so cuddly! I am in love with those chubby cheeks. Just looking at him (even when he's crying) makes me smile. I want to eat him up!

CAMPING, OR CLOSE TO IT!

This past weekend we went camping with the Hirschi family. It was my Mom's 20th birthday so we decided to spend a few days out in the open. My dad was crazy enough to give her a puppy, (she has been begging for five years) he is not a dog person! She was so excited and so was Brooklyn, she didn't put her down all weekend. They named her Lizzie! Isn't she cute?

Brady loved the 4 wheelers, in his weird scared of everything way!

There were some really fun park toys to play on, a pond to fish in, and a really big field to run around.

We set a trap and caught a cute little rascal, we played with bubbles, and made smores with peanut butter cups! MMMMMM The kids went on some nature walks with grandma and on one they found a wasp's nest (look at the size of it) one of those darn things stung my niece on her lip and on her back. We made a mud mix out of baking soda and put it on the sores. Her lip swelled up and stuck farther out than her nose. It was better a few hours later. I always thought Brookie was tough, I can't believe how well she handled it!

Even though it was windy both days we were there, we had a lot of fun and can't wait to go again.... SOON!

After lunch Brooklyn put on her swim suit hoping to go swimming today. We talked to daddy @ 3:30 and he said the sky looks like it could rain. Sure enough the storm clouds rolled in quickly, it started to sprinkle and Brookie asked if she could go outside and play in the rain. I told her as soon as the rain gets a little harder she could.(trying to buy some time) Not more than 3 mins later it was pouring, so we ran downstairs. From the stairs I could see that it was hailing. When she looked out the door she yelled "it's raining marshmallows!" Once she touched them she then started to sing "it's raining ice cubes." It poured rain at our house for a good ten mins and Brooklyn was in heaven. Brady on the other hand felt safe close by the door!

One more year of preschool

Brooklyn was excited to start school this year but a little nervous to meet new friends. Last year she was moved up to the older class so all of her friends have now started kindergarten. This year she is with the kids she would have been with last year, she actually knows a few already. She is going to be leaning a little spanish this year and was so happy about it, "now i can talk to Zaira" I guess she couldn't talk to her before? :) She is quite impressed that Zaira can speak english and spanish. Brookie has a very big imagination and loves to learn about new things. I know this year will go by so fast, so I've decided to slow down and enjoy my babies while they are young. Even if they want to pretend they are a puppy all day long!
